Schumacher Homes has received the Gold Award for Design Centers from the National Association of Home Builders, ranking the scattered site home builder as the nation’s leader. The organization’s Gold and Silver awards showcase the best in residential real estate marketing and design.
Schumacher’s Design Center, located in Akron, represents a one stop shop for customers building a new home or shopping for home furnishings. It is the first design center in the country where customers can access everything they need to plan their dream homes. Since the Design Center opened in April, it has become a destination experience, with more than 10,000 visitors in the first six months. “We are very proud because it’s highly unusual for a Midwest firm to win this prestigious honor, which usually goes to a West Coast entrant,” said Paul T. Schumacher, president. “The Design Center is the result of the coordinated efforts of many dedicated people. It testifies to our commitment to offer maximum convenience and choice to our customers, and their enthusiastic response validates the vision we pioneered.”
Whether furnishing an existing home or planning to build a home, customers can make all their choices at the 25,000 square foot Design Center. Not only can visitors purchase furnishings and accessories, they also can see how the items look in each of six fully decorated and furnished custom model homes ranging in size from 2,100 square feet to 6,000 square feet. Homeowners also can choose among options in plumbing, roofing and flooring.
The six model homes are among 18 furnished and decorated models in Akron, Canton, Ravenna, Columbus, Ashland and coming soon to Bowling Green and Cincinnati. Schumacher is currently building homes in 55 Ohio counties. All the models can be viewed online at www.schumacherhomes.com In addition to the Gold Award, Schumacher Homes received three Silver Awards at the National Association of Home Builders’ annual International Builders Show last month in Las Vegas. The awards competition is the largest and best established event of its type. Winners were chosen from more than 1,200 entries.
